Blood Red Heel

My red heel bleeds
It tells of a hard life.

After the war everything changed in my land
Now I carry the pain of that in my feet
I am always looking for a new way.

I was forced to leave my country
I travelled to Jordan
I stayed there eight years but there was nothing there for me
No papers, no status.

So I tried again
I came here and still my feet are searching to find the right way
Sometimes I find a place like this where there is help
Other times it feels like I am walking in circles.
